Korea popular group SS501 held their first concert in Taipei Arena on 17 October, attracted around 10,000 over fans. They had put off some time for interview with 'Japan Korea Pop Music Craze' and participated in tarot card fortune reading in thet show.
Park JungMin exposed saying: "Kim HyungJoon like to sing solo, I felt that he really like to go solo." Kim HyungJoon denied immediately. However, the fortune telling guru revealed because their relationship is too good, it is very difficult to go apart.
Kim HyunJoong who had just recovered from new influenza and slim down a lot asked the guru nervously: "How long can I live?" Causing everybody to laugh. The guru mentioned that his current health condition is very good, do not need to worry about it. The exclusive interview will be showed in 'Japan Korea Pop Music Craze' from Wednesday to Friday, at 7pm in MTV channel.

Well, are you glad that HyungJoon didn't really want to go solo. Actually when I was translating the Warner Taiwan's news yesterday, I already knew that it must be a joke from JungMin again. Remember HyunJoong also joke about this before during their Solo Collection Album interview. :P
Actually, if they can joke about this, you already knew how good their relationship with each other!! Because this is not a small matter you know! Disband/going solo, it should be taboo word for groups, the fact that they can joke about it, it showed that they have certain trust that HyungJoon would not get angry/felt petty/take it seriously about the comments.

Dun wanna scare you but the fact and reality is from the history of boy bands all over the world, eventually they'll split in order for them to advance in their career. It may not be a bad thing at all, as they grow older they will naturally want to go solo. They will start to mature and think differently. Of course they can always record and perform together whenever they can if their friendship is strong enough.
Don't worry, things will develope as the years goes by and it will not happen at least for the next few yrs. And of course the bad thing would be, not everyone will make it as a soloist successfully, this is showbiz.

I know it is inevitable things like this will happen but I guess it would not be now.... as they diversify to other field like acting, MC, etc. I guess it is also difficult to be together. But I do hope at least they will still release album together and have concert together and go to variety show together during their comeback..... :)
It is cruel, but I know that's life and worst for showbiz life.

It might take a while for SS501 to actually consider the prospect of pursuing activities individually. They all share a common group for SS501 to become a globally-known group. How can they individually pursue their own activities when their shared ambitions are not fully realized yet? Only when that goal is met, can they start pursuing their own interests outside of the band. That is why they were taking the issue of disbanding very lightly. We all know the five year curse of idol groups. Idol groups usually disband in their fifth year in the industry. Usually, this is within the time frame of when most of their contracts end.
The only idol group that maintained their close friendship until this day is Shinhwa. Members pursue individual activities and officially get back together to record and release albums afterwards. I hope that SS501 could be the other Shinhwa or even better yet, outlive them.
