(9 Sept) Korean idol SS501, "Boys over Flower" main actor group was in danger of new influenza! SS501 leader Kim Hyun Joong had sign of fever and influenza during his promotional event in Japan. He was then confirmed diagnosed with H1N1, staying back alone in Japan for recuperation, the other members had already return back to Korea.

SS501 recently had been traveling around Asia cities for preparation of their new record and shooting of photobook. On the 5 & 6 September, they also participated in 2 "Boys over Flowers" premium event to meet with their Japan fans. Rumours had spread around the internet that during his promotional events in Malaysia, Kim Hyun Joong almost fainted due to overly fatigue. His Korea agency clarified that the 5 members have very good appetite everyday, they also have their meal regularly to maintain they physical strength, the only small condition was Kim Kyu Jong had stomach upset as he could not get used to Malaysian food and also Kim Hyun Joong had slight fever and influenza in Japan.

However, yesterday night, his agency had confirmed: "After going to Japan from Malaysia, Kim Hyun Joong expressed that he is not feeling well, after diagnose by the doctor, he was confirmed diagnose with new influenza, for those who travels together, he was the only diagnose sick. It could be overly fatigue and also his original immune system is weaker. He had been injected with antibody for the influenza and received relevant medication. Lee Min Ho, Goo Hye Soo, Kim Bum, T-Max and other artists who participated in the same event, their health condition was also received a lot of concern.

"SS501 Asia Tour Persona 2009 Taiwan Concert" started selling on 5 Sept, after selling for 3 days, it had already received good news of 80% sales, fans do not hesitate to snatch up tickets. The most expensive tickets of NT4500 to NT3200 was sold out fastest. Fans from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Hongkong also joined in to buy tickets, it was estimated that there were around 400 oversea audience.

Anyway he is fine now, since DSP said the rest of the members are tested negative for H1N1.

Some nice photo of leader to reduce your missing to him..... Maybe you had already seen these somewhere else..... but no harm looking at them again right? Because the photographer has captured his many habitual expressions/gestures and also some 4D-ness in him.

The photographer has purposely zoom in his camera to his face and was surprised by his impeccable look. This is his description: "五官精致，皮细肉嫩、唇红齿白" -- Fine impeccable facial features, soft & rosy skin, red lips and white teeth", and he said he is like a figure from manga, very handsome & charming. That is why all fans would not stop shrieking when seeing him, some even cried after seeing him.

He also mentioned that leader would never refuse any request from photographer and always released thousand mega walts through his eyes sight and most charming smile confidently whenever a camera faced him and also until they have enough shoots of him.

He also mentioned that leader once mentioned in an interview: "Even if it is close shoot, I would not hate it. This is because if you hate to have a camera shooting at you, you cannot be an artist, therefore loosing your qualification as an artist." With such a high fame/popularity and in a 'blooming' stage, with features like a prince in manga, good-looking no matter shoot from whatever angles, who is more qualification than Kim Hyun Joong to say the above remarks?

Some nice photo of SS501 by this photographer Eddie Guyuno. The photographer had captured many nice angles of the boys. You might have seen all these photographs some where else by now but maybe you would like to hear the photographer's comments about this event.

The photographer mentioned that the press conference was started late by 1 hour from the schedule time but all of them think that it is worth the wait because SS501 is currently the most popular group in Korea.

He revealed that SS501 appeared dressing different costumes but with a theme consist of mainly blacks & whites, therefore the colours was very matching and they looked very eye catching and stylish. From these, he can sense the close bonds between them.

He also mentioned that once SS501 arrived at the event location, the flash lights were flashing non-stop. Hyun Joong gained the most attention from photographers during that whole event. However, after facing the camera for sometimes, Hyun Joong started to bury himself in his drawing world. When he was drawing, his hair covered his right eyes, causing the photographer on his right to panic as he could not captured his complete looks. (Well, that's our leader, he always like to wonder out of the 3D world when he was bored.)

He also mentioned that during these 7 hours short visit of SS501 to Kuala Lumpur, Warner Music spend up to RM50,000 (~ USD14,222) for all costs involved including air tickets, transportation fees, hotel suite, event location cost and etc. However, the 1000 copies of imported "Special Hit" CD and another local version CD were completely sold out to fans! Also, SS501 had successfully attracted great attention in the entertainment & media circle, therefore the huge expenditure was worth investing by the record company!

I can't find any news about the 9 Sept press con. So I give you this translation for the Autograph news report by 8TV. Almost same as other. But just translate since some of you might be curious of the news. Seems like all of the reporter don't know how to pronounce the group name. They pronounced them as S-S 5-oh-1 instead of Double S 5-oh-1. :( The only one which pronounce correctly is Evergreen IPTV.

Only saw a news at naver talking about yesterday event. Thanks to 바노 who post it in ss601. It is in Korean. None of the chinese/english site has translated it yet. I don't understand korean. I just use google translate. From the translation, seems like Leader still sing "Please be nice to me" & "Thank You" and he do look fatigue.

Korean popular group SS501 arrived at Malaysia on 31 Aug to Kota Kinabalu to shoot their photobook. Before departing Malaysia, they spare some time to hold press conference with Malaysia Media and also an autograph session with their fans. The press conference is which was originally schedule to start at 4.30pm, was late for half an hour. In the press conference, leader Kim Hyun Joong and his group members Hoe Young Seang, Kim Kyu Jong, Park Jung Min and Kim Hyun Joong have fun answering questions. The atmosphere of the event was very amicable.

The staff team who came together with them were around 25 person in total. The team consisted of  their managers, stylists, interpreter and also staff from korea broadcasting station. The record company had arranged for 25 security personnel to maintain order of the event. Despite having the security personnel, when SS501 arrived at the event location, the on site situation became chaotic. It is even more chaotic during the photo taking session. Even the large amount of security guards have no control over the situation.

In the press conference, SS501 revealed that they might hold their concert during December or January next year. The concert will include new songs from their new album. The Asia tour will end at around February next year. After the Asia tour concert, they might hold a 'Encore concert'.

The Korean Version "Boys over flower" drama which Kim Hyun Joong acted in received great popularity in Asia, whether other member will also go towards this direction? Let's listen to their response.

SS501 who liked to draw, start drawing on the paper provided during the press conference.

SS501 revealed that they will release their next album in Korea soon. The songs in next album will have a different theme from their previous albums. They will show a more masculine side as a prove of their maturity.

In the press conference, the reporter asked who has the most difference infront and behind stage? 4 of them instantaneously pointed to Kim Hyung Joon. Kim Hyung Joon explained that he was only showing his most natural side.

The autograph session at 6pm attracted around 1000 fans, some had purposely fly over from China, Thailand and Singapore to meet SS501. According to the record company, some fans started to queue from 7am, but they have self control and went to buy lunch to fill up their stomach. As the autograph session only admit those with ticket, and also the record company only have 1000 copies of SS501 album, some fans who came late were not able to purchase their CD and were refused entrance to the event.

The reporter went outside of the event hall for inspection and noticed that the fans were very passionate and was shocked to see unending queues.

Translation of the interview/news report:

SS501 lead by Kim Hyun Joong came to Malaysia to have their autograph session. The members consist of Kim Hyun Joong, Hoe Young Saeng, Kim Hyu Jong, Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Joon. They arrived in Malaysia on 31 Aug and went to Kota Kinabalu to shoot their MV.

This was the 1st time Ss501 held their activity in Malaysia. The autograph sessions had attracted around thousand over fans from Malaysia and various countries in Asia. It clearly shown SS501's popularity.

In order to let SS501 signed all the CD, each fan was only allowed to obtain signature from one member only. This had caused disappointment for those that wishes to collect signatures of all 5 members. Some fans wanted to get Kim Hyun Joong signature and cut queue, causing much chaotic.

SS501 lady manager noticed that the media continued to take pictures during the events and requested all media to leave the event hall since it was a private meeting for SS501 with their fans.

Currently SS501 is starting their Asia tour concert. Starting from Korea and Japan concert following by the Taipei concert which will be held on 17 Oct at the Taipei Arena. After this, it will be followed by Bangkok, Shanghai, Singapore, Beijing and other cities. In end December or early January next year, they will come to Malaysia to hold their concert. The content of the Malaysia concert would be almost same as Japan concert, but will include extra new songs in the new album.

It was reported that DBSK might be disband, therefore, SS501 who are gaining more popularity currently might be able to overtake DBSK. Regarding this, SS501 gave the reason that both groups are from different management company and refused to further discuss this issue.

Hyun Joong: "As artist, we placed full concentration on our own work, and don't understand all these profound and complicated issues. This is because we are doing our part to perform well in our duties in singing and acting. Also, we are not from the same management company, therefore we do not understand the actual situation. Jung Min: "Hyun Joong's drama was well received, thank you for everybody's support. The other members has also received numerous offers to act in drama. Currently it is still in the selection stage. As SS501 is gaining more popularity in the chinese market, they mentined that they might be singing mandarin songs. They also reviewed, in the new CD album, they will move towards the matured and masculine style, hoping to give everybody a surprise.

Throughout the interview the most irritating words are "S-S wu ling yi" (501 in mandarin) ..... Argh..... Do your homework reporter! It is Double S wu ling yi.... sigh.... why can't they read their group name correctly?!

Sorry I stop my translation and continue with this because I saw a lot of information being released. Confirm concert in Bangkok, Singapore, Malaysia! Singing mandarin songs in chinese market, come sing in Singapore please.... :D

Reports of SS501 Autograph Session in One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya

I am starting to see more photographs & Video on Quainte/Soompi/Baidu/Youtube. Will post here to share with you.

According to sharing by fans went to the Autograph session, there were more than 1000+ fans queuing for the fan sign. The queue went up till 400m and started from 1pm onwards! Two CD were on sale, the "Super Hit Collection" and "1st Solo Collection" both are the Taiwan released version. Everybody only allowed for signing by 1 member only. Even though some have bought both CDs. Only one CD was allowed to be signed.

Saw quite a lot of complains saying that the organisation was quite bad. The on site location was very crowded, there were pushing among fans and cutting of queues. Some fans do not even get their signatures even thou they pay for the CD as the boys only have 2 hours to sign and they have to rush for their flight back to Seoul. Kyu Jong was given white board marker to sign. Some fans CD signature was accidentally erased because of that. -.-||

Some fans mentioned that Leader looked extremely tired and skinny. Same for the other members, they looked tired.

Of course, other than the negative points, fans also reported that the boys looks much much much better in real person than on photo or video. Their smiles melts the heart. Also, the MC was good to bring up mood by making fan shouting "AnnYeongHaSeYo" (It can be heard in the Youtube video which I had linked below). There were reports of fans from Singapore, Thailand, China, Japan and Korea were there to give SS501 their support.

According to her, you are not even allowed to request the members to write your name on the CD, but she secretly requested Leader to write for her and he asked what is her name and wrote her name on the CD for her.

(Seems like different batch of people were being given different retrictions, it might be due to timing was running out so they were more stringent)
