Popular group SS501 & 2NE1 revealed they would not attend the 1st "Melon Asia Awards".

SS501's management company, DSP related personnel revealed through telephone conversation and mentioned: "Due to their Asia Tour Concert, SS501 would not be able to attend the award ceremony, KARA seems to be not convenient to attend also, but currently it was not confirmed yet."

Other than that, 2NE1's company, YG related personnel also revealed through telephone conversation and mentioned: "2NE1 can't attend and it is not confirmed whether BIGBANG could attend also."

Before this, management company SM revealed that SNSD and SJ would be attending the award ceremony. Originally thought that the 'Melon Asia Awards' would be a feast with lots of stars but because SS501 and 2NE1 expressed their absence, in addition, KARA and BIGBANG has not confirmed whether they will attend, it has reduced the audience chances to see the 2009 Korea most excellent singers together.

'Melon Asia Awards' is selected from the most representative artist song and album released in this year. It will be held on the 16 December, 7pm in Olympic Hall at Olympic Park.

In the 2009 Melon Award, there are 3 categories which are related to SS501
1. '2009 Star' - SS501
2. '2009 Mania' - 'Love Like This' - Rebirth album
3. '2009 Special Album' - 'Boys Over Flower' OST

The following list the instruction to vote for them in the Melon Award.

1. Go to http://www.melon.com/svc/awards/index.jsp

2. Click on the 'Vote' icon as pointed in the picture below.

3. Select the artist you want to vote by and clicking on the radio button beside the artist name, follow by clicking on the confirm button as pointed in the picture below.

4. Repeat the steps until you have completed all sections.
Don't forget to select SS501 in the sections listed above.

5. You will receive this pop up message once you completed all the section.

The meaning of the message is: "You have voted today. Please vote again tomorrow." (Thanks XiaoChu from Quainte501 for translating this message for me)

Click 'OK' to complete the voting.

By the way, I saw a lot of other sites mentioning that we can vote many times a day, I tried and I could vote also. However, I am not sure whether the vote will be valid, as in will it be reflected in the vote countings. Because it doesn't sound logical if we are allowed to vote many times but the pop up message said that we have voted today and please vote tomorrow.

Wonder if somebody who can understand korean can verify this. I just don't want to waste everybody's time in vain to vote and end of the day it is not counted, I would rather we spend time in voting for competition that we can confirm that our vote will be counted.
