Kim HyunJoong-SuAe to Act in Movie ‘You are Pet’. Original Japan comic made into popular drama, Movie will premier next year April.
‘Flower Boy’ Kim HyunJoong and SuAe from movie ‘The Sword With No Name’, will act in romantic comedy ‘You Are Pet’.
‘You Are Pet’ is a story from the 14-series comic in Japan which sold over 6million copies after its publication. It is about raising a boyfriend like a house pet.
It has been made into a 10-episode drama by Japan TBS station in 2003 with average viewership of 15% (equivalent to 30% in Korea), making a big hit at that time. In Japan, Matsumoto Jun aroused attention from the public for his role in this drama.
Kim HyunJoong’s role is the main character Kang InHo grows up in a female dominant environment, while learning ballet, he knows well what he can do to be able to be loved by females. Even though he is a promising classic ballet dancer getting recognition internationally, he ran away from home to the disappointment of his family.
SuAe’s character is Ji EunEe who is a reporter at a general media firm and takes on a job of a simultaneous translator after work. She had conflicts with her boss and was demoted to take care of monthly female fashion magazine instead. She started her cohabitant life with Kang InHo with ‘Owner and Pet’ relationship.
Production company Ludens said that this movie would likely to premier in April next year.

Hmm..... how come nowadays Korean producer like to adopt drama/movie from J-Drama/Manga? Maybe they should remake 'Hanazakari no Kimitachi e' into Korean drama, and get Hyun Joong to act as Sano Izumi since he is so good in high jump! Remember WGM..... kekeke.....

having just a pretty face does not thrive these days. Our leader's popularity is on the rise - that means there's got to be more. he's a great singer, dancer, host and he could certainly act!
hope we get a confirmation from DSP on this soon.
Actually I don't agree also that he just have a pretty face. If it is only that, he won't have lasted so long, it is his talent and character that draws people to him.
In fact, I must say the Rui that he acted, is closest to the original character in the comic. Trust me since I watch the Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Anime and the manga for Hana Yori Dango!
If you don't know the story, you will think that his acting is very stone and expressionless. But in actual fact, Rui is supposed to be expressionless. Don't believe, go read the manga.
Anyway, who can be good in acting by just acting in first drama, though his acting might not be good initially, he improved episode by episode.
This is what I admired him for, he knew that he was not good in acting so he worked hard to improve his acting skill but not succumbed to the difficulties. If he thinks that by having a pretty face will make him famous, he would not have worked so hard for the show. But he didn't, looked at the hours he slept everyday when acting 'Boys over Flowers', look at how much weight he lost. You know how much pressure he put himself into it!
Judging by the remarks, it proves that you have not understand him more.... I believe once you understand him more, you would not make sure remarks but will admire him!
Leader is definitely more than just a pretty face. He has this unique commanding charisma and stage presence and most of all he has great personality. As for talent, sure he has!
Nobody can be interested in a pretty face for long if he has no substance. Leader has character and there are alot more interesting deep aspects of him to be revealed and discovered.
If anyone doubt him, then she is shallow, ignorant and no fan of Leader.

Just wanna add on Leader's acting in BOF.
It is precisely his stiff performance that makes his character just right as an enigmatic, mysterious and one who is in a world of his own. This is what I find Leader as Rui most charming and ultra cool. In fact I like him more in the first few episodes of BOF.
As a brand new actor without any experience, such raw acting is remarkable. Given more opportunities I'm sure Leader can be a good actor.
