I read this original article in Korean, and I noticed allkpop had a wrong translation of the bold-faced sentence. And this wrong translation was being dispersed throughout the web. The original article said that he rinsed his mouth with a mouthwash several times before his kiss scene w/ Han Chae Young in BOF because he was very nervous and excited (positive connotation).
Accordingly, he picked Han Chae Young over many other girls in the initial rounds. Despite saying that he had been so nervous around her, he later selected another girl (Hyori) over her in the later round. This startled the host, and prompted him to say even the "mouthwash" girl gets eliminated.
Neither the original article nor KHJ in the show ever say he was eliminating her because he used mouthwash. This makes absolute no sense. Just a minor issue, but I hope this clears up any misunderstanding.

Leader looked very tired in the show with dark circles under his eyes compare with Baby and the others. It's also cute to see him nod his head each time after selecting the choice gal and seem embarrassed.
For me, these final 32 girls most of them aren't that pretty afterall. Was it a no choice situation for Leader? I'm sure there are more pretty artistes/girls in the industry/Korea to choose from.
Actually I don't take this seriously at all, I mean the game. After all who will ever choose a girl friend using elimination method and who will ever choose a girl friend in just 20mins.... This is ridiculous! Haha.... Just treat it as a game.
And also, all these girls were selected by the program, it is not choosen by him at all, I don't think leader will ever choose a girl friend like this since he always mentioned that he wanted a partner which he can be together like a friend, in order to know somebody like this you need to at least know the person well, then you can treat her like a friend to talk everything under the sun with her. This is what I think.....
And I think the reason why he didn't choose Hyori and Hwangbo is probably because they were always the hot topic for his ideal girl, maybe he is just trying to divert some attention from there.... my guess.... could not be correct....
All I know is.... Leader is not somebody that do things without thinking.... so I guess he is just treating this as a game only. He might looked playful and kiddy at times, but I think he is much much much more matured than we see on screen.

Agree with you Mini UFO, sometimes just can't take their words on shows like that. He even ever said sometimes he has to fake smiles and say what was told to on these shows.
And as I've said b4 as he matures and hv more life experiences his taste will change, probably looking back yrs later he'd too wld laugh at is choice as childishness.
I'm really curious of his life's two major impt issues - his career and the one he'd marry. We just hv to wait and see which may take at least another 2 to 3 yrs or even more. By then I wonder how's the world like for all of us.
