So happy for Leader n SS501 in winning even though they didn't win any awards in their own local music scene at all this year end. Sad that they're not even in the top 10 groups.
Too bad, they are too busy to do good promotion in Korea. Anyway all these oversea awards made up for it!
Yeah 2PM, Big Bang, SNSD etc may be BIG in Korea but they are no where compared to SS501 in Asia. I hope Leader wld know how to answer when asked abt why they dun win any year end awards.
yeah, i feel sad too, coz they didnt win many award in korea..but we as overseas fans really appreciate their hardwork, look how the overseas fans love and crazy voted for them.

look at the bright side...they have won international awards;) !!!...meaning they have a HUGE fanbase in a lot of countries!!... and also have to remember that this year they started group activities until the end of the year!!...congrats to SS501^_^
Wow! This is great! I thought they won't get the Best Singer award since they were 2nd place from the start. So glad they topped all these awards. They totally deserve it!... Even though they didn't win the year end awards in Korea, hats off to TripleS Korea for their love & support for our SS501 men. Same goes for the TripleS international fans (not just in Asia), all of us really stood by our SS501 men. Here's to more years of SS501 & TripleS! Cheers! : )

Anyone know about ss501 year end even which DSP said would be in china? Any confirm from TSC?
I really got confused about their year ending activity. They dont attend any show in korea. So i really hope they would be in that china event. Though no sign about their attendance?

According to China ent news is that SS501 will be performing at Hunan TV's Yr-end show which will combine live telecast with 2 or 3 other China TV stations. They must hv paid DSP alot for it. The sad news so far is that none of the Big Korean TV yr-end show incl SS501! Maybe it's because they will be in China then.

Well, not really sure but read that China TV stns has given up on inviting Rain because he's too expensive n not that famous in China BUT they said that SS501 will be in. So I'm wondering too if they dun go China n dun get invited to any Korean TV yr-end shows, what are they gonna do? Hunan better than none, at least they pay more than SBS or MBC or KBS.

Yeah..it's really sad that SS501 does not appear in any of the year-end music shows, none. Even that they promote their album kind of late, but the sales are really good, and SS501 is big name too. I don't know if it's because they didn't get invited for the show, DSP didn't agree with the payments.. Even the show for Hunan tv is on schedule, they still have enough time for other shows in Korean.
Anyway, I hope next year will be better.
Well!..I did not like what I heard from some of my Korean friends, but I guess it's true in some extend.
SS501 is well known in Korean, but the group itself does not have as much young fans as other groups (young, teenager fans, those hard-cord fans).
More than half of SS501's fans are Kim leader's fans, most of those are ADULT fans. These fans have great buying power, supports and influences, but when it deal with voting and concert attending, they can not be compared with teenager fans.
SS501 songs are really good, but also not as popular to teenagers as other groups'. DSP did very little promotion to the new album. The sale of new album was good, partialy due to the bulk purchase of khjperfect fanclub for the donation to charity.
SS501 is a well established group, known for delivery great, quality composed song, but for most teenagers, they only care about trend, catchy melody.
"I'm stupid" and "U re man" were well received mostly due to BOF fever. DSP also did absolutely nothing to promote these songs.
DSP depend too much on KHJ. Eventhough he was able to bring the group to another level of popularity, and his fans have great purchasing power, the company did not concentrate on composing songs which can penatrate into the Korean music main stream in order to keep SS501 at the top of the game.
Anyway, that was what I heard from a journalist, and an accountant of CBS from Korean. I really hope next year will be better for SS501

Really hope that SS501 popularity will increase next year in the Korea community after they release their 2nd album.
Their songs in this Mini Album are really good, it is really a pity the younger fans don't know how to appreciate them.
well!! I'm somewhat agree with Yuki's friends.
It's obvious that DSP rely on HJL's popularity and skip all the necessary promotion. Adult fans have lots of money, but have no time for concert or voting. Younger fans always have better power to affect the music industry.
Anyway, I really glad that SS501 was known for their talent, and their quality composed songs.
Good comment from Yuki, whatever, still those Korean TV stns really dun give face to SS501 despite their fame. Afterall, they can pre-record for the shows even if they wont be in Seoul on 31/12. If they dun appear or get to perform in any yr-end shows, it's very embarrassing n awkward for artistes/groups. The more yr-end shows the groups get to participate mean the more popular you are.
Also felt that songs that made it to the No.1 to 10 spots of the year are not really good songs at all, in fact some are real junk. The top groups in Korea may not be as good-looking or talented as SS501. This K-pop scene is really not abt good songs or talent or looks only but on trend/taste of the crazy youngsters. It's all abt hype, right now the hippest are those in the top 10 groups.
Hopefully next yr SS501 cld fare better.
