2 November, in the MBC variety show 'Golden Fishery - Radio Star', Heo Young Saeng selected Kim Kyu Jong as Taiwan's most charming man, Park Jung Min as Japanese most popular man.
Because Kim Kyu Jong has a chinese star look, he is most popular in Taiwan. Park Jung Min's fluent japanese won a lot of mother fans. Maknae Kim Hyung Joon because of his mischievious image is well love by Asia fans.
For an example, during an interview when talked about female artist, Hyung Joon would always without reason said that female artist is good, also he also have different ideal type in different country.
Kim Hyung Joon revealed that this is his strategy. Kim Hyung Joon's ideal type in Taiwan is singer Jolin Tsai, in Japan Aya Uta, and in Korea singer Boa. According to him, selected the most popular star can attract even their own fans. Kim Hyun Joong who was beside him exposed: "Hyung Joon will only select the most popular artist in that country and mention that she is his ideal type in an interview."
During the beginning of the promotion period for their new album, Kim Hyun Joong's popularity was a big contribution, when the rest of the members were questioned whether they will have resentment over Kim Hyun Joong, everybody pointed to Kim Hyung Joon. eh poor maknae. no wonder his scenes are always so short, the pd cut them away >.< but soon his drama will air then he can get more popular :)
lately, after the bof success, most variety shows tend to pay more attention to leader
i'm the old fan of leader, i just want to crarify that even before BOF leader usually the one who got the most scenes time...
don't understand why people just always mention it now...
poor magnae...i hope he can advance his carrier too, in my opinion, magnae is the most ambitious in ss501..
and leader, i just love him, he's the unique person that i adore.

@anonymous i'm a fan of leader too and i agree with you that before bof leader was also famous. he sure got a lot of air time but nowadays, it seems that those variety shows blatantly use his popularity to boost the viewing rate. very obvious one was star king.
while it's good because leader's popularity will boost ss501 popularity, i think the rest also deserve more ( i think they think so too)
